Pancit Canton
Pancit Canton is a traditional Philippine dish normally put together using egg noodles, vegetables, pork and shrimp. A tasty dish that is originally from China and known as “Lo Mein” popular amongst the Chinese as is with their Filipino neighbors.
Pancit Canton is mostly present on a Filipino table at various occasions such as birthdays, wedding, fiestas, christening and other times that someone has reason to celebrate.
Pancit canton is popular at birthday celebrations since a Chinese Folk Law suggests that it represents long life and therefore should be cooked without cutting or breaking so not to corrupt its symbolism.
Your recipe is bellow but to make it easier we have added the video that we found on YouTube (you may want to turn the sound down a little and ingredients may vary but the principle is the same, enjoy!)
