Pancit or pansit , mainly better known as being called noodles. Brought to the Philippines by the Chinese they have become part of the local cuizine ever since.

You can find many different varieties of noodles in the supermarkets back in the Philippines and are commonly cooked at home.

They are also said to represent long life so they are not to be broken or cut to corrupt the symbolism.
